Safeguarding
PURPOSE
Creating and maintaining an environment where members of the IC community feel secure and listened to.
Giving children the power to say ‘no’ when feeling uncomfortable.
Creating a comprehensive guide to host IC’s policies and guidelines related to safeguarding.
If you feel you have been harassed in any way, send an email to: staysafe@ic.edu.lb
IC has an obligation to keep all reports confidential. However, privacy and confidentiality concerns will be overridden if the school feels there is a real or potential risk and/or the safety and well-being of the parties concerned are threatened. When confidentiality is broken, the parties involved will be informed and supported as appropriate.
We all share the responsibility of keeping our students and community safe.
School directors serve as Designated Safeguarding Leads in their respective schools. The President and Vice President for Academic Affairs serve as Designated Safeguarding Leads at the College level.
As part of IC's endeavor to keep our children safe, we would like to remind you of the school's efforts to ensure a safe environment for our students. We have numerous policies in place to safeguard our children.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with them.
