International Day 2019

Richard Bampfylde

Once again, and like every year for the past 14 years, the school held another very successful International Day event. Saturday, April 13 saw students from Ras Beirut and Ain Aar come together on the IC Green Field to perform songs and dance from their respective chosen countries, and with their families as the audience. On top of this cultural on-stage display, and thanks to the many parents who volunteered to assist in the setup, stands were spread all across the Ras Beirut campus, one for each of the countries, with posters displaying the students' learning journeys, and not forgetting the fantastic food organized by the above mentioned very kind and generous parents!

The event is very much in line with IC's Vision and Mission, promoting international mindedness, and with students demonstrating their appreciation of diversity, respect for differences and celebration of cultures.

This year we had the following countries represented:

Ras Beirut - CE2 Haiti, G3 Cameroon, 6ème Armenia and G6 Russia

Ain Aar - CE2 Singapore, G3 Argentina, 6ème Senegal and G6 Cape Verde

Finally, a very special thank you to the International Day Organizing Committee.
