On Sunday, October 14, over 30 Middle School students of grade six and 6ème participated in a community service activity with the National Institute for Scuba Diving. In order to complete one of two projects this year, these students showed up to Zeituna Bay marina ready to sort debris that divers retrieved from the sea. Gloved and some masked they sorted the rubbish which helped to ensure the proper material would be recycled at the end of the day. Although it’s not the most desirable job, many of the students were enthusiastic and did impressive work understanding that this initiative would help their environment. These kinds of projects are planned throughout the year to take social and environmental responsibility by urging them to become role models in a global society.
