Child Protection

Nichole Swink

IC has made a commitment to develop and put into place a school-wide child protection policy that endeavors to safeguard our children, in line with the international and Lebanese law.  Friday, October 12 saw a roundtable of experts in child protection, IC community stakeholders (parents, teachers, counselors and administrators) and lawyers meet to review and shape a draft document that has been developed.  The next step is for the school Board of Trustees to review the child protection policy document before IC moves to the implementation phase.  In this next phase, IC will examine how to educate teachers, staff and students in child protection practices.  Thank you to all those who participated in the thought-provoking and very effective round table meeting.
