Infirmary
International College Health Centers are open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and are staffed by a dedicated team of seven full-time nurses and three doctors who rotate through various shifts in different clinics. These centers play an important role in ensuring students' well-being by providing a wide range of healthcare services.
Our health centers go beyond medical care to include illness prevention, educational outreach, and a commitment to the health of every student. All the infirmaries in Ras Beirut and Ain Aar are strategically located on the campuses. These infirmaries are equipped to handle a wide range of situations, from medical emergencies to minor ailments, by providing first-aid care, thorough physical examinations, and dispensing commonly used medications such as analgesics, antipyretics, and anti-inflammatories.
Furthermore, ten Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are strategically placed throughout the infirmaries, departments, and playgrounds for immediate access in an emergency. The nursing and medical staff's healthcare services go beyond emergency care. Preventive measures, curative interventions, and educational outreach are all included. Nurses devote meticulous attention to maintaining and regularly updating student files to ensure proactive health management of students, allowing the healthcare team to tailor care plans to individual needs effectively. In the event of an illness or an accident, students are given prompt and thorough care. Those who require treatment are referred to the infirmary. Before any medication is given to a student, their files are thoroughly reviewed for allergies and relevant medical history. Parents are kept informed at all stages. Furthermore, the healthcare team actively participates in various educational initiatives, such as class visits, hygiene, and health assemblies, and disseminating valuable information on current health practices, fostering a culture of health and well-being among the student community.
Before the beginning of the school year, parents must complete the IC health record detailing their child’s medical history.
All students are covered by a 24-hour accident insurance policy.
