Research Guides

The library Ain Aar Elementary/Middle School looks out on a spectacular view of the Mediterranean and Beirut far, far below. But, as Librarians Nouhad Chalita and Nivart Hakinian say, students hardly notice the view – there are far too many good books to attract their attention. Students of AAEM are voracious readers, and the library is always busy with students borrowing books. There is an organized Library Program in English and French for all of Upper Elementary classes and the first two levels of Middle School. Students expand the literacy skills that they learned in the lower classes and practice research skills using the ever-expanding collection of non-fiction and reference materials including the Internet. Teachers who wish to book library time for special projects, especially at the upper levels, should plan their visit with the librarians.

See below our suggested reading in English and French, by Grade level.
