IC is looking for an outstanding highly motivated French Teacher to join its Secondary School Lebanese Baccalaureate Program) in Ras Beirut campus on a part-time basis, commencing September 2018.
Teach writing assignments in line with curriculum and appropriate to program academic standards.
Focus on grammar rules, sentence structure and expository writing techniques, introducing students to sophisticated reading materials and more expansive writing assignments, like research papers.
Teach literature, plays, analyzing satire and poetry, public speaking, and creative writing.
Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching and learning of the subject matter.
Demonstrate understanding of program requirements within the subject area and ensure these are followed.
Teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual students or groups of students.
Assess and monitor student progress using appropriate tools for formative and summative assessment.
Meet with students individually when necessary to assess progress, improve learning performance levels and achieve overall education success.
Provide guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters.
Communicate accurately and regularly with parents, teachers, and other school staff to ensure the best interest of students.

Actively engage in teacher learning and development including teaching strategies and methodologies and ICT skills.
You will need:
Bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature and a Teaching Diploma.
Master’s degree (preferred).
Specialty in grammar and various literary genres, public speaking and debate, drama, short stories or essay writing.
Experience teaching language and literature is preferred.
Minimum 3 years of FT teaching experience in a recognized educational institution.
Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
