Grade 3, Ain Aar, chose Fiji to represent on International Day. The Consulate of Fiji contacted the UNIFIL troops in the south of Lebanon. Soon eleven guests from Fiji visited IC. They spent four hours with us, and we discovered that this small country enjoys a culture and people who are fascinating. The UNIFIL troops taught us some steps for our dance, sang for us, played their instruments, performed a traditional ‘meke’ dance, and prepared a PowerPoint on their country. The day concluded with a Lebanese lunch.
