Sarah joined the Young SDG Innovators Programme (YSIP) with the United Nations Global Compact, a ten-month accelerator programme that activates future business leaders and changemakers to develop and drive innovative solutions to deliver on sustainability objectives.
Only four participants were chosen to discuss the programme during the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit taking place on the 15 and 16 of June: Sarah (Communications Officer, Lebanon), Panchali Sharma (Programme Manager, India), Hiba Khan (Sustainability and Social Outcome Lead, United Kingdom), and Roberto Rodrigues (Regional Investment Manager, Brazil).
This year’s virtual Leaders Summit will address the converging crisis of climate change, the covid-19 global pandemic, worsening social and economic inequality, unchecked corruption, and will offer a roadmap for a sustainable recovery. It also convenes more than 25,000 leaders from business, Government, the UN, and Civil Society!
Sarah graduated from IC in 2011. She has a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication and Translation from ISIT in Paris, and currently works as a Communications Officer in Beirut. She’s a strong defender of gender equality and a vivid advocate of women empowerment. She enrolled at the Young SDG Innovators Programme to further develop her aspiration towards communications and sustainability.
