ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

At International College, sustainability is not an add-on - it is embedded at the heart of who we are and what we do. Proudly recognized by the AEFE with the prestigious “École Durable” (Sustainable School) Level 3 label for Expertise in Sustainable Development, IC stands as a pioneer in sustainability education in the region.

From Kindergarten to Grade 12, across all programs, Education for Sustainable Development is seamlessly integrated within our curriculum, with a clear progressive and comprehensive "Sustainability Program". Our learners are not only taught about sustainability - they live it. Through interdisciplinary projects, experiential learning, and community engagement, students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values needed to shape a thriving, equitable, and sustainable future.

Sustainability at IC is closely aligned with the school's guiding statements and is deeply connected to its EPIC goals:

IC’s sustainability vision is to position the school as a leading territorial actor for sustainable development. To achieve this vision, IC’s environmental sustainability mission is to:

  • Educate the school community - youth and adults - about the principles and challenges of environmental sustainability
  • Spread good environmental practices within and outside the school (awareness)
  • Work for an environmentally friendly infrastructure within the school.
