IC RESPONSIBILITY

IC is committed to empowering its learners to become global citizen leaders, ensuring that students grow into socially responsible individuals. They are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty and contributing to the wellbeing of society as a whole.

At IC, Social Responsibility is embedded in learning, school strategies, and plans. It is reflected across all subjects and extends well beyond the classroom. It equips students with real-world skills to make a positive impact on the planet and fosters the self-sufficiency they need to thrive in the future.

Through the four programs, Environmental Sustainability, Civic Commitment and Service Learning, the Ali Ghandour Center (AGC), and CAS/Pre-CAS, IC offers its students the opportunity to engage deeply with their communities, develop leadership skills, and practice responsible citizenship.

Through the Ali Ghandour Center's program, students follow a structured journey that begins with extensive volunteering in a wide range of grassroots organizations and culminates in leading Community Service Projects.

Civic Commitment and Service Learning

Civic Commitment and Service Learning at IC connect classroom knowledge with real-world action, enabling students to address community needs while developing leadership, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Environmental Sustainability

IC is committed to environmental sustainability, weaving eco-conscious practices into learning and daily life. Our efforts were recognized with the AE3FD Label, affirming our dedication to a greener, more sustainable future.

CAS and Pre-CAS

Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) is a core component of the IB Diploma Program (IB I and II), with Pre-CAS introduced in the 5th College Preparatory Program (5th CPP). CAS and Pre-CAS encourage students to engage in meaningful experiences, reflect on their learning, set goals for personal growth, take on new challenges, and collaborate on sustained projects. While both programs share the same requirements, Pre-CAS does not include the CAS project.
