Dear Members of our IC Ain Aar Community,
I am delighted to announce that starting in July 2022, Lara Kmeid, the current Assistant Director of the upper Elementary and Middle School of our Ain Aar campus, will replace Mr. Breillad and become the new director of that school.
Before being an Assistant Director at IC, Lara who holds a Bachelor of Sciences, a teaching diploma and a specialized teaching diploma in biology/SVT, taught science for 14 years in various middle and secondary schools as well as in universities. She also was the Head of a science department and an interdisciplinary project facilitator.
For the past one and half years, Lara has proven to be an effective, talented, and dynamic administrator. During the difficult times we all have been through, Lara has supported students, parents, and teachers with talent, determination, and consistency. I know that with Mrs. Kmeid at its helm, the Upper elementary and Middle school of IC AA will be in good hands.
Let me seize this opportunity to thank Mr. Jean-Christophe Breillad for his service to IC, both as a Head of French as well as Assistant Director, and subsequently as a Director. Mr. Breillad's extensive knowledge of pedagogy has allowed him to help IC AA Upper School to move forward and grow in spite of challenging circumstances. He has also been instrumental in the success of our online and hybrid programs at AA.
