A Reminder on Responsible Driving and Community Respect

A Reminder on Responsible Driving and Community Respect

Dear Parents,

As valued members of our school community, we all share the responsibility of creating a safe and respectful environment for our students, staff, and neighbors. Recently, we have observed instances of unsafe driving practices near the school, including driving against traffic to bypass congestion and parking in a second lane.

This second-lane parking is causing significant congestion on the Corniche road, as two lanes are being forced into one due to blocked passage, particularly affecting the Ras Beirut campus area.

While we understand that morning drop-off and pick-up can be challenging, it is essential that we lead by example and uphold the values we wish to instill in our children.

We kindly remind all parents and drivers to:

  • Follow all traffic regulations, especially near school premises.
  • Respect street directions and avoid driving against traffic.
  • Refrain from double parking, which disrupts traffic flow.
  • Be patient and considerate of fellow parents, students, and residents.
  • Prioritize safety over convenience.

To support a safer and smoother traffic flow, the school will do its utmost to coordinate with local authorities, including the municipality and local traffic police, to explore solutions that can improve traffic management during peak school hours. The presence of traffic personnel can help deter unsafe driving behaviors and ensure a more orderly drop-off and pick-up process.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to setting the right example for our students.

Best regards,

Tobin I. Wait
