IC Launches AGC Alumni Network, Strengthening a Global Community of Future Leaders

International College marked a significant milestone with the official launch of the Ali Ghandour Center (AGC) Alumni Network, bringing together IC AGC alumni, school leadership, and board members to celebrate a shared legacy of leadership, innovation, and community engagement.

The launch event gathered IC AGC alumni who returned to campus to reconnect, exchange ideas, and revisit projects initiated during their AGC journey. These projects, rooted in real-world challenges and community impact, were re-presented with the aim of reviving and expanding them through continued collaboration and mentorship.
Now pursuing their academic paths at leading institutions around the world, including AUB, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, Boston University, and others, AGC alumni reflected on the formative experiences that continue to shape their academic and professional trajectories.

The event was held in the presence of IC President Toby Wait, Vice President for Advancement and Development Moufid Beydoun, High School Principal, Dr. Michael Caleb Earnest, Head of the Ali Ghandour Center Rindala Hilal Abdel Baki, and IC AGC Board Member Rabih Shibli, whose presence highlighted IC’s commitment to sustaining lifelong engagement with its alumni.
Commenting on the launch, Rindala AbdelBaki emphasized the strategic importance of the network, stating:
“The AGC Alumni Network represents a long-term investment in people. It is a platform designed to foster continued connection, mentorship, and impact, ensuring that the values cultivated at AGC continue to grow well beyond graduation.”

Highlighting the unique role of AGC in leadership development, Rabih Shibli underscored the Center’s experiential approach, noting:
“AGC is not only about academics, but also about experience. It is the only center of its kind in the region that has successfully brought community engagement into a school setting. Students gain a real advantage before they even reach university, developing essential skills such as conflict resolution, problem-solving, and navigating real-life challenges. These experiences shape them into confident, purpose-driven leaders who carry this mindset forward into their academic and professional lives.”

Through its emphasis on experiential learning, AGC equips students with the skills, mindset, and social awareness needed to lead with purpose in an increasingly complex world. By launching the AGC Alumni Network, IC reinforces its dedication to nurturing leadership as a lifelong journey, connecting past, present, and future generations of changemakers.
