Learning Support

The Learning Support Teachers (LST) are typically responsible for developing skills that will support the students in accessing the mainstream curriculum. Depending on the students' needs, the LST work on reading, writing, math, and language development skills. Sessions are typically either one-on-one, in small groups, or in-class support. The LST work closely with all teachers to ensure that the instructions and materials are accessible and engaging for all students, especially those enrolled in the LS program. The Learning Support department also provides support for teachers in differentiating and accommodating their teaching and learning materials (instructions, assignments, assessments) to suit the learner’s individual needs.
