About IC

Message from the President

Welcome to the International College

As President of International College, I extend a personal greeting to the IC community and want to share how privileged I feel to be a part of IC. Having already been fortunate to have served as the Head of several respected, high performing international schools in Asia and South America over the past twenty-five years, I am truly honored to serve International College. Founded in 1891, with a current enrollment of nearly 3,600 students, IC is one of the oldest, largest, most prestigious international schools in the world, reflecting the unique blend of both the school’s and the country’s history, a long standing commitment to academic excellence, and the “IC Spirit”, which becomes part of the character of each student that passes through the classrooms and hallways of the Ras Beirut and Ain Aar Campuses.

It is IC’s rich history, an ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality education for students, the importance of personal integrity and character development, and recognition of the need for those of us who have been privileged in so many ways, to contribute and give back to those less fortunate, that has drawn me and many families to the International College Beirut.

Reflective of the value and importance IC places on multiculturalism and global diversity, IC offers four distinct diploma programs: the Lebanese Baccalaureate, the French Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate, and the US-style College Preparatory Program. Exam results for each of the diploma programs have been exemplary resulting in IC graduates being accepted to highly selective universities around the world.

The variety of cultures, languages and experiences IC students bring to each classroom enriches discussion, fosters attitudes of respect and appreciation for diversity, and illustrates the growing interdependency of nations. If you are seeking a school that values rigorous academic preparation and personal character development, within a family oriented environment, or if you are already a member of the "IC FAMILY", I welcome you to contact the school for additional information about our academic and activity programs.
