Bearstone Activities

To understand several issues in the novel "Bearstone" well, the class needs essential background information about several topics.

Your job is to gain knowledge and become an expert in your topic to present information orally to the class. As a group, you have to produce a small poster that represents the main ideas involved in your findings.

To help you determine relevant information for presentation to the class, you need to answer the questions listed under each topic by searching the websites listed. You must also provide explanations that make your presentation interesting and informative. You may present other relevant information you find on the during your information search.

After you have found answers, you have to meet as a group to organize your information and to decide who presents what information. Then you have to make a poster that emphasizes your main findings. The presentation will be graded as usual as an oral grade on the various aspects of presentation: body language, voice, content, grammar, fluency, poster.

Class time allotted for each presentation: 5-10 minutes.
