
International College is happy to offer a professional development program for teachers of Lebanese public and private schools, consisting of a wide variety of workshops covering all levels and various subject matter areas in English, French and Arabic.
The program is in line with the commitment of International College and its Educational Resources Center to high quality education which it seeks to promote throughout Lebanon.
REGISTRATION
Participants may register upon completion of an application form and payment of fees at the Educational Resources Center office in Beirut.
The ERC office is open on school days from 7:30 to 15:00. Since places are limited in each workshop, interested teachers are advised to register as early as possible.
The ERC reserves the right to cancel or postpone workshops in case of emergency or low attendance.

These activities teach about settings, character, voice projection, stage presence and theater arts skills. During this workshop, participants will learn how to create a musical show with their students and how to incorporate music and movement in order to express the character, the action and the mood. 2ème partie:
Les démonstrations et les travaux pratiques de laboratoire sont les instruments principaux de l’enseignement de la chimie. Ce stage vise à montrer comment le travail au laboratoire, en utilisant des expériences simples, peut améliorer l’efficacité de ces instruments et de plus montrer leur contribution pour une meilleure compréhension du concept des « réactions chimiques » chez les élèves. This workshop will present techniques and strategies that will help students learn in more efficient ways.
It will also enable teachers to further develop skills and knowledge of: teaching practice, classroom management, success-oriented classroom atmosphere and behavior management, understanding what lies underneath any behavior (anger, defeat, sadness, failure…), and using the “learning to learn” techniques.

إنّ تطوير مهارات التّفكير و تحسينها يمكـّن التّلاميذ من النّظر إلى أفكار متنوعة، والبحث بتعمّق، وممارسة النّقد في اتـّخاذ القرار، ومقاربة المهمـّات الأدائيّة بقرار حاسم. سوف يتعرّف المشاركون في هذه الورشة إلى أنظمة التـّفكير ويختبرون كيفيّة تغذيتها في صفوفهم.

يتخطّى العمل في هذه الورشة قراءة الصورة قراءة فنيّة فقط إلى توظيفها في التّّّّّّّّعبيرين الشّفهيّ والكتابيّ دعماً لمهارتي العرض والتقديم ومراحل سيرورة الكتابة .

يتعرض هذا المشغل لعملية التعبير الكتابي فيعرّفها وببيّن صلتها بمحور القراءة الذي يعمل عليه الطالب ومن ثم يتطرق الى مختلف النشاطات التي تتفرّع من عملية التعبير الكتابي ويعطي نماذج عنها. سيركز المشاركون على كيفية معالجة مواضيع في التعبير الكتابي من تحديد العروض، واستدرار للمضامين المتصلة به، وصولاً الى صياغته، والانتهاء بعملية التقويم.

تهدف هذه الورشة الى تقديم براهين عن أهمية التعلـّم من خلال اللعب عبر مشاهدة أفلام يظهر فيها الاطفال وهم يعملون في فرق صغيرة ويتوزعون الأدوار في اللعبة، كما يتبادلون الخبرات من خلال القراءة والكتابة.
سوف يلعب المشاركون أيضاً بمجموعة كبيرة من الألعاب التربوية الهادفة التي يمكنهم لاحقاً تطويعها واستخدامها في صفوفهم بما يتناسب مع المنهج المقرر في مدارسهم.

51. التعلّم التعاوني: ننجو معاً أو نغرق معاً

تتناول هذه الورشة خطوات العمل الأساسيّة للتوصل إلى فهم أصول العمل التّعاونيّ، وشروط نجاحه من حيث الوضوح في عرض الموضوع، وخطوات العمل، ومراحل البحث، وتقسيم العمل، وتحديد المسؤوليات من أجل تحقيق أهداف مشتركة.

52. من القراءة إلى التحليل فالتقيّيم

ماذا نقرأ؟ كيف نقرأ؟ ماذا نحلّل؟ كيف نحلّل؟ ماذا نقيّم؟ كيف نقيّم؟
ورشة عمل تطرح مجموعة من الأسئلة وتحاول الإجابة عنها من خلال التطرّق إلى:
· ضرورة اختيار المواد المناسبة لعمر المتعلـّم ومهاراته القرائيّة والاستيعابية.
· طرق لتعليم القراءة وضرورة تنويع الوسائل المتبعة.
· كيفية تقييم القراءة.
· البحث في نوعية الأسئلة التي تساعد في فهم النص.
· كيفية تقييم الاستيعاب القرائي.

53. دراسة كتاب مطالعة: تعليم ناشط، إفادة، متعة

يعرض هذا المشغل لطريقة ناشطة ممتعة في تدريس كتاب المطالعة في المرحلتين المتوسطة والثانوية . سيحاول المشغل التوصّل الى وضع المعايير التي يستند اليها في اختيار كتاب المطالعة، في وضع الأهداف، ومن ثمّ تحديد النشاطات التدريسية تمهيداً لتتويج العمل بمهمة أدائية.

54. أدب الأطفال والمكتبة: الأسس والمعايير

تتناول ورشة العمل أدب الأطفال باللغة العربية، فتركّز على طريقة استثماره في المكتبة بحيث سيجتمع المشاركون لمناقشة ودراسة نماذج عديدة من أدب الأطفال. كما سيتطرّق المشاركون الى تقنيات قراءة القصص للاطفال والنشاطات المرافقة لها في المكتبة.

تتطرّق هذه الورشة إلى طرق تعليم التّعبير كتابيًّا عن أفكارنا ومشاعرنا ، وتعرض لخطوات يَجب اتّباعها وصولاً إلى تعبير أفضل . من المقدّمة إلى صلب الموضوع فالخاتمة ، طريق طويل ، ولكنّه ممتع ومفيد .
تُجيب ورشة العمل عن الأسئلة الآتية :
- كيف نكتب مقدّمة ناجحة ؟
- كيف نُقسّم صلب الموضوع إلى فقر مترابطة ؟
- كيف نكتب خاتمة مناسبة ؟
- كيف نضع خريطة أفكار مُساعِدة ؟
